Summer is in full swing and we are back with our trending mountain bike products for July 2021! We have some fresh goodies to share with you this month including a few new WC jerseys that are sure to impress as well as some supremely comfortable Merino Wool Warmweather Ketl socks that are hot off the press. Next up is the new and improved Park Tool PCS 10.3 Deluxe Home Repair Stand, the home mechanic's best friend. Even though its hot and dusty here in SoCal this time of the year, it does rain elsewhere so we highlight the RockShox Zeb Fender as well as our beautiful WC Fenders. Maintenance is also very important this time of the year, so its no surprise that the Maxxis Aggressor tire is trending as well as the RaceFace Chester Pedal Pin Kit. Last but not least we show off the RockShox DebonAir C1 Air Spring upgrade kit for those looking to upgrade their Rockshox forks. Lets get into it!
Worn out Chesters got you slippin? We got you covered with the RaceFace Chester Pin kit. These affordable kits come with 20 fresh pins to replace your worn out, rusty, beat old pins to freshen up those pedals for another season of shredding. Replacing your pins can save you a bunch of cash versus getting a whole new set of pedals. One thing that is important to note, if you want or need to replace all of your pedal pins, you will need to get 2 of these kits since each pedal has 16 pins and each kit contains 20 pins. Keep your pedals dialed and your feet will thank you.
It doesn't matter if you are the person who works on their bike any chance they get or if you are the person who barely knows how to change a tire - having a quality repair stand is crucial to properly maintaining your bike, and like many tools, once you have one it will be tough to live without. The Park Tool PCS-10.3 is a high quality stand that has some sweet features to make your life as a mechanic that much easier. It comes with a nifty tool and part tray that is integrated into the stand and is also compatible with a paper towel holder as well as another work tray that Park Tool offers. The cam-actuated micro adjustable clamp makes it super easy to find that perfect clamping force and also change positions or bikes on the fly. It folds down to become relatively compact and will fit in the trunk of your car so you can take it on your favorite bike trips.
Now we know that it doesn't rain a ton here in SoCal, but that doesn't mean that we don't go to places where it does! When you do go somewhere that water occasionally falls from the sky, you will be thankful that you have that fender up front to minimize that mid trail mud facial.
Case and point - we were just out on our Chasing Epic MTB trip in Crested Butte, CO and experienced a couple of solid storms and water crossings, so we had our fair share of spicy trail conditions. Needless to say, the front fender was a godsend. No it won't keep 100% of flying debris out of your face, but it will certainly help to reduce it. Unless you enjoy that terrafirma flavor and exfoliating facial (no judging) we always recommend throwing a fender on your bike, plus everyone knows it adds +5 hp.
The Aggressor by Maxxis isn't the most iconic MTB tire out there, but it is definitely one of the best rear tires you will find. It offers good traction and braking performance in a fast rolling and relatively lightweight package. In fact you will typically see an Aggressor on the back wheel of most of the bikes in our showrooms because it is such a good performer that many bike companies spec them along with something like a Minion DHF up front. That combination is one of the most well rounded, high performing MTB tire combinations out there, so it makes sense that it is one of the best selling tires that we offer.
Next up we have 3 super fresh short sleeve jerseys hot off the press for you all! First is our Party Jersey V2 which is proven to keep the good vibes flowing out on the trail and lets everyone know you are here for a good time, not a long time. Next up we have our Classic Jersey which is a throwback to classic moto jerseys of years past. Finally we have our Apocalypse jersey with our stealth WC logo keeping you looking tactical out on the trails. A little bit of something for everyone, or if you can't decide, a little bit of everything for someone!
Once you have experienced the supreme comfort and breathability of the KETL Warmweather Merino wool socks, you will wonder how those New Zealand sheep got to be so soft. These Warmweather socks are thin and moisture-wicking with thoughtfully placed mesh and compression that add to the level of comfort to keep your feet dialed out on and off the trial. You will be living in these bad boys before you know it.
Last Spring, RockShox launched their C1 Debonair Air Spring upgrade kit which allowed thousands of people to update their forks to the highest performing air spring available. The upgrade addressed a couple of performance issues with Rockshox forks, for example, with the old air spring design you may notice your fork sagging just below the full amount of travel when not compressed, or it may run a bit too deep in the travel while riding. This C1 air spring upgrade kit allows you to take advantage and use all of the available travel in the fork as well as allowing the fork to ride a bit higher in the travel and be more supportive.
