The wheel, mankind's greatest invention... Stan's didn't reinvent the wheel with their Flow S1 Wheels but they sure made it reliable and cost-effective for many riders who can't be throwing money around like a beachball at a Nickelback concert... The Flow Wheels from Stan's NoTubes have been proven to be reliable and keep you doing what you love most, riding. Let's see what Kelsey thought of the wheel:
I have been on the Stan's Flow S1 Wheels now for about a month and a half with 2 to 4 rides per week and have no complaints about them so far. They feel very smooth and precise, especially for the price. I typically am very rough on rear wheels so I wanted to be sure I got a strong set, I have been riding some pretty rough, fast trails and have yet to dent them at all. To be fair I am running an e.13 LG1 tire in the rear at about 33psi so that helps, but that usually doesn’t stop my wheels from getting dented. Also, the tire was super easy to mount up, I just used a floor pump to seat the bead with a little soap and water.
There are some downsides to this rear wheel, if you are worried about weight these might not be the wheel for you, I definitely chose the strength over the weight here. Also, the hub engagement is a little long, but I haven’t found it to be annoying or a problem in any way yet. On the bright side, I love the way the hub sounds at high speeds.
"Overall, I am very pleased with this wheelset, I haven’t been able to dent them at all, they still are holding pretty true, and seems that the bead socket technology actually does help to create a stronger seal between the bead and the wheel." - Kelsey
