RockShox Lyrik RC2 Fork: Customer Review

Now available in shiny red, the Rockshox Lyrik RC2 has been hugely popular since its creation years ago. This years model features a new Charger 2 RC2 damper for greater high and low-speed adjustment. Our customer Jean Paul has spec'd his Santa Cruz Nomad with one and we think it looks great, check it out! 

Overview

Well, now that I have had the Rockshox Lyrik 2019 RC2 170mm I can write a comparison with my “old” Rockshox Lyrik RC 2018 170mm.

First of all, I would like to say the new red color of the fork creates an incredible contrast with the bike and it makes it look stunning! Well played Rockshox, fighting against all those Fox shiny orange forks out there!

Performance

Second, I can’t really say anything bad about the new Rockshox Lyrik 2019 RC2 170mm. It really is an amazing product from Rockshox and once again, they put themselves on par with Fox!!! I used my Shockwiz to get it dialed perfectly and after a few runs, the Shockwiz advised me it was all fine. This new Lyrik RC2 for 2019 really feels more sensitive at the beginning of the travel and when passing small bumps and rocks, with a great midstroke and also excellent end stroke! All of this translates into something very simple: more traction and grip everywhere (bumps, corners, braking, rock gardens!), all of which makes my arms less tired! And with a bike that looks even prettier!
