Downhill Southeast Race Series: Presented by Worldwide Cyclery

We are super stoked to be sponsoring the Downhill Southeast race series! What better way to spend the off-season then out riding/racing with the top dogs in the sport. The series is being put on by professional downhill racer, Neko Mulally, and will be kicking off in Sequatchie, Tennessee at the Trials Training Center on February 28. This is definitely an event you won’t want to pass up! After the opening race, the following races will be held at Windrock Park, in Knoxville, TN and wrapping up at Bailey Mountain Bike Park in Asheville, NC.

This is the first race series that we are sponsoring and we could not be more excited. Everyone here at the shop loves to ride and support the bike scene and we saw this as a perfect opportunity to partner with Neko and really get involved in the MTB community. "I grew up racing local events as well as downhill races on the national circuit, and know the importance of supporting these races. When Neko approached us about teaming up and sponsoring this series, it really was a no brainer. To be able to get involved with the sport and help some of these racers out, we knew it was a great opporutnity," says Jeff Cayley, owner of Worldwide Cyclery.

“The Downhill Southeast Spring Race Series was an idea that local riders had to try and get everyone together and out riding early in the year. The goal is to make these races as fun and affordable as possible, while offering a great experience to everyone who comes out. There will be time for everyone to get a lot of runs in over the weekend and our racing will finish early in the day so that people can get home at a decent hour. We hope to see you out here!” – Neko Mulally
