SRAM/Avid 20mm Post-Mount Disc Caliper to Post Mount Frame/Fork Adaptor with Stainless Bolts Kits for Regular and CPS

Top 5 Products October - SRAM/Avid 20mm Post-Mount Disc Caliper

Brake adaptors, sometimes you just need them. It’s not always easy to know what size adaptor you need but I will help explain a bit. This adaptor will allow you to get 20mm more from your post-mount, meaning if you have a 160mm post-mount fork or frame, you will need this to get your brake caliper to mount onto a 180mm rotor. If you have a 180mm post mount (most updated mid-long travel bikes), this adaptor will allow you to mount a 200mm rotor front or rear. There isn’t much else to these adaptors except making sure it’s correct. Yes, technically you could use this on a Magura or TRP or Shimano brake, but it is made for SRAM/Avid brakes.

Shimano F203P/PM Disc Brake Adaptor for 203mm Rotor, 74mm Caliper, 180mm Post Mount Frame or Fork

Top 5 products October - Shimano disc brake adaptor

Similar story for this brake adaptor here, EXCEPT its for 23mm adaption to run a 203mm Shimano rotor. Like the adaptor above, this will help you run a 203mm rotor, but your bike must be 180mm post mount front, or front and rear if you want a 203mm rotor and to use this adaptor. Say you have a Fox 36 or RockShox Lyrik and wanted to run a 203mm rotor, this is the adaptor you would need. It comes with the proper bolts and a few moon washers to get that caliper aligned up perfectly. 203mm rotor, post-mount 180mm… Then get this adaptor.

  • Price: $14.05
  • Mount/Rotor Size: 180 post / 203 rotor
  • Brake Caliper Type: Post Mount

Park Tool ATD-1.2 Adjustable Torque DriverTop 5 products October - park tool adjustable torque driver

Ever snap a bolt, faceplate, crack a carbon bar, or strip out an alloy pivot bolt? Even if you answered no to all those, I still suggest you grab a Park Tool torque wrench like this one. This is my go-to torque wrench for about 90% of bolts on my bike. It comes with 3mm, 4mm, 5mm, and t25 bits but also takes normal sized bits so you can add what you need to fit your specific bikes needs. The ATD-1.2 has a small range of adjustable torque, from 4, 4.5, 5, 5.5, or 6nm. Easy to swap between NM as needed. There is a small-cap built into the handle that will hold your 3 extra bits as well as one in the wrench itself. I would highly suggest you have a small portable torque wrench at home and maybe even in your go-bag for trailhead adjustments, or more likely your buddy needs a full tune-up and he is trying it in the parking lot… We love our riding buddies.

  • Price: $67.95
  • Adjusts to apply 4, 4.5, 5, 5.5, or 6 Newton Meter (Nm) of torque when rotating clockwise
  • All metal internal construction for long life
  • Comfortable ergonomic composite molded grip
  • Includes 3mm, 4mm, 5mm and T25 bits (stored in handle)
  • 1/4" drive, Magnetic socket retains bits

NiteRider Lumina 850 & 1200 Boost Headlight

Top 5 products October - Niterider lights

Yup, its that time of year again. Night riding season. Time to get some fresh lights and get those night rides going. The NiteRider Micro 850 and Lumina 1200 boost headlight are both great options for night riding. They are small yet powerful and light enough to be used on the handlebar or the helmet. Both lights come with a handlebar mount standard. If you plan to ride mountain bikes at night, I suggest both a helmet and handlebar-mounted light, that way you light up the trail and can see where you want to go. Not only are the NiteRider 850 and 1200 lights some of our favorites, but they are also some of our best sellers. Both of these lights made it into our top night riding lights of 2019 so be sure to check that video when it comes out!

OneUp Components Carbon Handlebar 35 x 800mm, 35mm Rise

Top 5 products October - OneUp components carbon handlebars

This OneUp carbon handlebar is probably one of the most unique carbon handlebars on the market, so much so that we did a video and blog post on this handlebar specifically. So I will keep it short here, this handlebar is only available in 35mm clamp, and both 20mm and 35mm rise options, for this month our best selling was the 35mm riser bar. The OneUp carbon handlebar is different as it has a flattened oval shape that comes quickly from the stem clamping area. This allows for more vertical compliance or flex while still being laterally stiff for precise steering. Not only does this look cool in my opinion but it really does help take the edge off rough terrain. I have been running the 20mm handlebar and have had zero issues, only good things to say about this handlebar. The stealth black logos look killer while OneUp also offers a color kit if you wanted to match or not match some of the colors on your bike. Check out our full review for detailed specs and our full thoughts.

SRAM Brake Bleed Kit for SRAM X0, XX, Guides and Road Hydraulic (BR4841) - $61.99

Top 5 products October - SRAM bleed kit

Bleeding brakes, I don’t care what style brake you have, or how hard it is to bleed, it's never my top choice for bike maintenance. However, we need to do it and the harder you ride, the more you NEED to bleed your brakes. So a nice bleed kit is key for a good bleed and to make your life easier. This bleed kit will work on all current brakes from SRAM, coming with 3 hose/tips for the classic threaded bleed port, or the newer bleeding edge tool at the caliper. Also included is a small bottle of Dot 5.1 brake fluid, and if your fluid comes out darker than what is in the bottle, I suggest flushing that dark fluid all the way out. Some bleed blocks are also included for more common SRAM brakes, but you might also need to grab a bleed block that is more correct for your brake (code, road disc, level or G2 ultimate, etc).

SRAM Pro Brake Bleed Kit for X0, XX, Guide, Level, Hydraulic Road

Top 5 Products October - SRAM Pro brake bleed kit

Continuing with the bleeding theme, This is the Pro level bleed kit from SRAM. Now I will say it won’t make you a pro at bleeding brakes, however, its made out of better syringes with better seals and metal threaded connections. All this leads to less air and more suction so you can really get that brake bleed as airtight as possible.  As with the normal bleed kit, it comes with the three hoses/tips, and fluid, and bleed blocks. It also comes with additional bleed blocks to cover all the current SRAM brake models out there, as well as a few stealth olive and barb connections. If you find yourself bleeding brakes often, or all of your friends’ brakes as well I would suggest the Pro model as it will last longer and give you a little more quality on your bleed. If you are only bleeding your own brakes and maybe only 2-4 times a year, the standard bleed kit will probably be totally adequate for you.
