Transition Bikes is back with another bike release, only this time it packs a bigger punch than previous models. The all-new Spire features 170mm of travel and 29 inch wheels, both front and rear and fits in perfectly with the current direction we see the industry going. As riders become more and more confident, the Spire embodies exactly what we want in a long-travelled bike. It's long, its slack, has a good seat tube angle, and it's made by transition so you know it can handle just about anything you throw at it. We are excited to see what this bike can doo and to see where it takes us!
The Transition Spire will come in 5 different build kits. Two of these will feature a carbon frame and will be equipped with a Shimano XT build or a SRAM GX Eagle build. The remaining 3 will all feature an alloy frame, also with a Shimano XT build or SRAM GX Eagle build but with a third option for a Shimano Deore build to help keep cost low for certain riders. The Spire will also be available in a frame only option in both carbon and alloy. For a more in depth look at the build kits, look below:
Well, unfortunately, we haven't had a chance to ride this beast yet. With the current state of the industry, getting bikes right now is a challenge in itself. If we could make the assumption based on their other bikes. The Spire probably rides like a dream. Once we get our hands on one of these, you bet we will get a detailed review going!
