The SRAM Eagle XX1 AXS cassette is one of the best looking in the mountain bike world. There is simply no denying the incredible machinery and bling that comes along with an AXS cassette. Overview

Ok...so we’ve all had those times when upgrading or replacing broken parts..and we wanna spend some extra fun bux on the blingy stuff....but we always end up conflicted on how far to take it. You know what I’m talking about, like that time when you broke your NX rear derailleur and decided you wanted to upgrade to XO1...and then realized it was ONLY a few bucks more for XX1. Then all of a sudden you’re counting grams and figuring out dollars/grams ratios. The next formula you end up working on is sanity/grams.

The Upgrade

We all know how it ends...37 YouTube reviews and endless product screenshots later...and you’ve transitioned from that NX rear derailleur to an XO1 Eagle AXS system. Well, this review isn’t on that part...I haven’t been able to connect the crazy dots yet on an AXS derailleur because I was born with the “I somehow smash rear derailleurs to pieces all the time” gene. BUT...I do love me some lightweight cassette action!!!

Just recently I smashed SRAM GX 12 speed cassette and decided it was time to upgrade and ditch some weight. When it comes to high-end cassettes what’s we’re really doing is trimming fat...more money equals less weight and eye appeal. So just a few weeks back I jumped on Worldwide Cyclery’s website and snagged a SRAM XX1 Eagle “rainbow” cassette and it’s been awesome.

I didn’t weigh it because as soon as I took it out of the AMAZING packaging...I realized it was a “shit ton” lighter than what I was currently running. No scale needed when you move into “shit ton” territory 👍👍👍

First Impressions

Now the rainbow coloring...that’s where the real benefits come from. I’ve noticed that‘s what makes me LOOK fast...when I’m sitting on the side of the trail sucking wind trying not to puke up whatever is in my stomach at that moment. Cause it’s not how you actually ride...it’s how you look...right???? Ok so now that’s we’ve taken care of all that BS...let’s be serious and talk about which beer goes best with this new SRAM XX1 Eagle Rainbow cassette. ANY beer will do just fine...so pop open your favorite brew and keep reading.

Final Thoughts

OK, for all you SRAM guys out there...I don’t have to tell you how awesome this XX1 Eagle rainbow cassette is...because you know. I will tell you though...of the things you can replace to bring your driveline up a notch, THIS is definitely one to look at. You can tell that the guys from SRAM give a shit about their product...from the amazing packaging to the insane coloring of the rainbow cassette. You’ve gotta be an artist to bring that much style to a product and we all know when you see that much love put into a product it’s going to be quality. And this part SCREAMS quality. Don’t believe me??? Go buy it and try NOT to just toss your GX cassette in the trash can 😂😂

Oh...yeah just buy the rainbow chain too...the combo looks insane!!!
