Over the past few years, Revel Bikes has put out some amazing carbon full suspension bikes like the Revel Rascal, Revel Rail & Revel Ranger, all of which are some of our favorite bikes to ride. Revel also likes to mix things up, and keep it flowing like the rivers they float so now they are releasing a new dirt jumper, the Revel Tweedy. Named after Revel’s pro rider Brady Tweedy, this is his first pro model and it helps give back Brady to keep shredding.
How do you make a dirt jumper special? To start Reynolds 853 steel is the main material on the frame, a sleek hydroformed headtube, and horizontal track-style dropouts. The geometry has also been designed and tested by Brady Tweedy, so you know it will ride well and take a good pounding as well. The frame will come in a clear coat over the raw finish to keep that classic dirt jumper look, plus who doesn't like a good raw metal finish?
When looking for a dirt jumper frame, not all are created equal, there are mainly steel and alloy options, sometimes crazy dropout styles, and other weird stuff. Revel has gone for a super clean and simple dirt jumper with the Revel Tweedy DJ, no crazy dropouts or chain tensioners, just a sweet dirt jumper, and best of all made out of 853 Reynolds steel. Oh, and it happens to be Revel’s team rider & a personal friend of Worldwide Cyclery Brady Tweedy’s pro-model. What's not to like?
