It’s no surprise that Revel’s new Ranger was a huge hit right off that bat but for some people, myself included, instantly thought, “what if it had beefier suspension?” Well fast forward a few months and those thoughts have become a reality! Revel recently teased their “Brunch Ride” version of the Ranger which they spec'd with a slightly taller fork and piggyback shock making this trail bike just a little more burly for those looking to hit those aggressive lines without worry.
It’s no question that bikes are more capable now than they ever have been before so why not make a short travel 29er into a bike you can take to the bike park on the weekends and also use as your training bike during the week?
Revel’s Brunch Ride Ranger will feature a 130mm RockShox Pike Ultimate Fork which replaces the 120mm RockShox SID Race Day fork we see on the standard build kits. We will also see a RockShox Super Deluxe Rear Shock which also replaces the RockShox SID seen on the standard build kits. Another big difference is the handlebar which will feature sister company Why Cycle’s 780mm Titanium Handlebars. We also see a change in tire setup. The Maxxis Dissector/Rekon combo will be swapped out for some Maxxis Minions DHF in the front and DHR II in the rear, offering way more traction. Lastly we will see a more aggressive brake setup as the Brunch Ride will be spec’d with some TRP Slate 4-Piston Brakes and 180mm Rotors. Sadly the orange juice and champagne are not included with the bike…
Uhhhh yeah it is. Have you ever regretted consuming 6 mimosas before 11am on a Sunday? We certainly haven’t and this bike is no different. This is a do-it-all bike, a quiver killer as some would say. Having a ton of bikes is cool, but how rad is it to have just one bike that does everything you need?
