In this review, our customer Robert Sumner tells us about his recent experience buying from Worldwide Cyclery. Robert ended up getting a DT Swiss 54T ratchet upgrade and some new Maxxis tires for his mountain bike. Thanks Robert for shopping with us!
Worldwide Cyclery has quickly become my go to source for parts. I recently moved to buying frames and building my bikes component by component, as I find this to be a good way to get the bike the way I want it from the start. When I decided to build a Santa Cruz Hightower, I wanted to buy all of the same parts that I already had on my 5010. This way, I have backup parts if needed. I was happy to come across WWC and quickly found that they have parts that some other vendors do not stock, their customer service is great, and their prices can’t be beat.
With my latest build, I had an issue in which the crank arms that I wanted were backordered. WWC offered to swap out the order for a similar set that were already available so that I could be on my way riding much sooner. They are always quick to respond to my orders and emails and no shipping charges on anything – who else does that?
Once you get on the email list, keep an eye out for the weekly video emails. These are full of useful information, unboxings, how to’s, etc. on many of the latest parts and they are actually items that I am interested in. Also, keep an eye out for the screenshots on the computer screen in the background – good stuff. In one of their recent videos, they covered the DT Swiss 54 tooth star ratchet update and it made me buy two sets in my latest order. Just as they said, they make a huge difference and let people know that I am coming without sounding like a swarm of bees from some of the other high-end hub companies.
I cannot say it enough, not just with bike parts, but with truck parts, motorcycle parts, etc. it is hard to find a company with the customer service that Worldwide Cyclery provides. Give them a shot and you will not be disappointed.
