If you can upgrade one thing on your bike to make a ride more enjoyable the saddle is a great starting point. As many hours spent in the saddle and grinding on the drivetrain, it's not a bad idea to keep them fresh. Our valued customer German Nieto Gechem gives us his rundown on his new Ergon SMC Comp saddle and Shimano XT M8000 chainring. Check it out!
I have made a big decision, changing from a Shimano XT 2x11 groupset to 1x11. At first, it was hard to get used to this new drivetrain since the legs were used to the 2x11 drivetrain. In the first outings with the 1x11 drivetrain, it was a little frustrating since I felt that it was slower on my normal routes but after a few weeks my legs adapted to the new drivetrain and today I wouldn't think of going back to a 2x11.
If what you are really looking for is simplicity and performance, with a 1x11 you have it and you will be more agile. The Shimano XT M8000 32t 96mm 1x11 chainring is a great option when looking for an ideal configuration for ascents and for flat routes. It goes very well with the Shimano XT CS-M8000 11-Speed 11-46t cassette. I recommend that for people who want to optimize their rides and professional performance, do not hesitate to change from 2x11 to 1x11.
The Ergon SMC3-M Comp Saddle Medium Black Stealth saddle is a great partner for your butt on long routes. It is comfortable, light, and its appearance is amazing. For many years I used the Bontrager Montrose Pro Carbon. Although it is a little lighter than the Ergon SMC3-M Comp Saddle Medium Black Stealth it was a little hard and uncomfortable for long routes. If you want to feel the comfort of the Yeti Team do not hesitate to choose this Ergon saddle.
