e*thirteen has made a name for themselves by coming out with great alternatives to the big-name brands at some seriously impressive price points. A perfect example of that is their TRS+ Cassette. In this review, our customer Eusebio adds the kit to his Trek Roscoe. Check it out!
I have a 27.5+ 2019 Trek Roscoe and was looking to upgrade my cassette and other related parts. The rear factory freewheel hub and driver kept failing and was replaced under warranty multiple times. I was not able to weigh the Baron MK3 35 mm wheel however, I compared to the factory Bontrager 40 mm rear wheel by holding a wheel in one hand and the Baron Mk3 in the other. The weight difference was significant. I installed a Maxxis Rekon 2.8+ tire, e*thirteen TRS Plus cassette, installed rotor, and added 3 oz of Stans sealant and the Factory Bontrager wheel still felt heavier.
At first, I was a bit skeptical about the e*thirteen cassette. I installed the cassette, wheel, Stan’s Tubeless Valves, QR Neo End Caps, and it fit perfect. I adjusted the rear derailleur and the chain went up and down the block without any hang-ups or skipping. The Stan’s QR End Caps fit perfectly with the factory 141 Boost set up.
So far so good with the new e*thirteen cassette. Thank you Worldwide Cyclery for continuing to provide quality products.
