Customer Review: RaceFace Indy Elbow and Knee Pads

This is my short-term review of the Race Face Indy Elbow and Knee Pads…by Elvis Gracia.

I got these elbow and knee pads about a month ago.  My decision was based on the following 3 criteria:

1. Light and breathable materials.
2. Pedal friendly and overall movement and flexibility.
3. Fair enough protection for gnarly rock gardens.

Size wise, they run small.  I ordered the medium size, but had to return them and reorder in large size. Worldwide Cyclery customer service is awesome! They process the credit for your returned items the very same day the return is received. You guys rock!

So far I believe I picked the perfect kit for my intended purpose.  I live in a Caribbean island, so we have 80’s, 90’s and even 100’s °F temperatures all year long.  I can wear these elbow and knee pads comfortably the whole day and forget I’m wearing them.  They don’t affect my pedal ability or my flexibility in any way at all.

Now, it’s in the protection department that they truly amazed me.  The knee guards also have shin protection.  In my book this is a very welcome detail.

Yesterday, in a technical and rocky descent, I lost my line and slid out.  Literally I hugged the rocks on the way down.  The following picture series is proof that this pads stay in place!

In conclusion, I’m glad I picked the RaceFace Indy elbow and knee pads.  Highly recommended for Enduro and All Mountain MTB.
