Whether you ride flats or clipless, aluminum or composite, a quality set of pedals cannot be understated. Crank Brothers should be at the top of your list if you find yourself in need of a new pair. Fellow rider Craig O'Connor recently installed a set of Stamp 11 pedals and gives us his thoughts. Check it out!
I opted for the larger of the two sizes, which gave me plenty of surface area for size 12 shoes. I appreciated this when searching to get a foot back on in tricky terrain.
As the pins are of the grub-screw variety and screw in from the top, they fill with dirt easily, which makes them harder to adjust. I extended them to just over 5mm and was impressed with the durability and traction they offer, along with the stable platform. I’m yet to dislodge any pins, even after numerous rock strikes.

The pedals after a month still feel smooth, even after a decent amount of riding in rough technical conditions. While I love how the Stamp 11’s feel, appreciate the weight savings, I’m not sure if the price is worth it over the Stamp 7’s, which I’ve run before.
