worldwide Cyclery I am Jeff I am Jared and I'm Liam in this episode we're going
0:20
to discuss the most popular mountain bike products of 2022 per category this
0:26
is out of the 286,923 products that we shipped in the year we'll also tell you
0:31
our personal favorite products of the year and the actual least popular product of the Year determined by
0:37
Jared's secret ranking algorithm uh well yeah I mean it's not that big of a secret I just looked at the least sold
0:45
products these these same products will also be shown in Greater display and Detail in
0:51
our upcoming YouTube video on the same topic so if you want to see them rather than listen about them keep an eye out
0:57
for that speaking of seeing us the MTB podcast episodes will now be back on the MTB podcast YouTube channel as live
1:04
recordings we're back baby currently waving at the camera for those of you watching this on YouTube so if you want
1:09
to watch the podcast recording it is there now uh well let's start boys DJ Green Goblin play a sound effect
1:18
foreign before we jump into the podcast I did want to mention Nika Nica the national
1:25
interscholastic Intergalactic you had that wrong Cycling Association on the metaverse it might they might change the
1:31
name to National Intergalactic sampling Association but for now it's just International uh oh wait interscholastic
1:38
that that name that name is stuff inner glass so if you're not familiar with
1:44
Nika they are a non-profit organization that is trying to uh make mountain
1:49
biking of all different disciplines a an accredited sport in middle schools and
1:54
high schools all across the United States which is pretty amazing it's actually a pretty large organization I've got a dozen plus two dozen plus
2:02
States like 50 000 kids in it I mean it's pretty big so a lot of people know about it but not everyone does because not everyone is deep in the bike
2:09
industry or has kids who ride mountain bikes and also go to school we are uh we
2:15
are big fans of Nika and donate to their cause because we really appreciate what they're doing and res resonates with us
2:20
we decided to put together this program called miles for Nika which we actually did talk about on the podcast almost a
2:26
year ago maybe so the way that works is it's we use Strava to record everything and so all of the staff basically record
2:33
their rides for every mile ridden between one and a hundred uh WC will donate one dollar per mile to Nika then
2:41
miles 101 to 999 50 cents miles a thousand plus 25 cents for every mile
2:46
written so that ended up in uh 2022 the the crew rode just over 39 000 miles
2:53
it's pretty good yeah it was pretty impressed when I saw that it's not bad you know it's not bad and uh yeah that
3:00
resulted in just over twenty one thousand dollars being donated to Nika and various Nika leagues so just
3:06
something to mention uh if you're not familiar with Nika check it out if you're trying to do a little more
3:11
philanthropic activities now in this new year take a look at Nika and it's pretty
3:16
easy to donate it's non-profit they're doing really good things helping kids ride mountain bikes which we like so
3:22
that's all that's all I got was that a humble brag would that be considered that no okay yeah well
3:28
we'll take it yeah sometimes it's like well I know this is actually something I'm pretty proud of
3:34
that we've done but at the same time I'm like oh is this a humble brag if I even talk about this yeah I mean we just have
3:39
to make sure that the kids uh you know and the rest of the Galaxy are getting bikes yeah that's true because after all it is Intergalactic so Intergalactic um
3:46
yeah when we get confirmation that we're just helping in the entire galaxy that'd be cool yeah I'll ask them for them yeah
3:53
please all right let's let's jump into these products there's there's a lot of them to go over and before we start just
3:59
a quick note on the fact of of how we picked the products for each category they're chosen based on either their
4:06
quantity sold or revenue generated or both plus the occasional honorable
4:11
mention yes that's an important thing in some of these guys what makes it an honorable mention well so so for example
4:18
actually perfect honorable mention that you'll like is the Continental tires so yeah the Continental Tires didn't end up
4:25
as like a top volume product or top Revenue generating product because they didn't really come into stock until what
4:31
Q3 yeah 2022. so they're not they weren't they'd end up being big sellers because of just for the whole year right
4:37
yeah for the whole year because but they're popular but they're still popular and they're still honorable Dimensions right you know gotcha yeah
4:44
and other things like I don't know some product categories or well I don't want to give it away but yeah yeah
4:50
I just asked clarification yeah well I'm saying some some categories are dominated by certain brands too so like
4:55
some other products that are really good that we want to highlight you know that also sold well we want to highlight those as well yeah so the categories
miscellaneous miscellaneous m-i-s-s-i-l-e and US miscellaneous
5:23
miscellaneous uh amazing yeah well wow fantastic here we
5:28
go drive train drivetrain was probably the hardest one of these to do because there's a lot of different parts that make up a drivetrain and we didn't want
5:36
to bore you guys and break out every individual like you're the most popular change you're the most popular Drillers
5:41
you're the most popular cassettes so we kind of tried to smash it all into drivetrain yeah which wasn't the easiest
5:46
thing to do but this was this list was pretty much dominated by SRAM as you
5:52
might imagine obviously shiman was a big competitor to SRAM but shimano's had really bad supply chain issues for all
5:58
of 2022 so it just didn't and Beyond yeah and and be quite bad yeah and
6:04
Beyond and Beyond so yeah so SRAM SRAM crushed it in 22 uh in particular GX
6:11
Eagle GX Eagle trigger shifter and driller the mechanical version mechanical yeah oh and the electronic
6:19
well that's a number two but the number one spot was the GX Eagle dream shifter and derailleur sort of combo the
6:25
mechanical technical variant of it which is cool GX is I mean ever since they redesigned GX when was that two years
6:31
ago something like that remember when they like refreshed the GX stuff yeah it's two years ago yeah
6:37
uh it looks so much better yeah and it looks like the prices it's just yeah I mean it's no wonder everyone's like yeah
6:43
I'm just gonna get that it's as good as the best stuff but less expensive yeah and only slightly heavier yeah yeah
6:50
especially if you're not you know looking to save grams dude gx's killer
6:56
yeah it really is and then uh yeah the number two spot was a GX access upgrade
7:01
kit so that's basically the kit that you can buy that has the well they called it controller in this case not a shifter
7:06
because it's electric and the derailleur so what else comes in that little kit charger charger battery detention
7:13
battery cover battery cover uh yeah coaster coaster with the QR code to
7:19
download that was the one we made a really funny YouTube video on remember that where we yes the story those are my
7:25
schedule wants to do also a little multi-tool comes in though yeah it does go with a really cool actually Nifty
7:30
lightweight multi-tool yep in the third spot
7:38
yeah what do you know about that well I'll tell you I think people are converting their you know two by three
7:44
by Drive trains to one buy uh yeah beg to differ I think really replacing e-bike Drive trains oh there you go
7:50
that's why you think that's like that yeah because it went away for probably two years three interesting and now all e-bikes are 104 BCD interesting there
7:57
you go I didn't think about that yeah we got a resident e-bike Rider over here
8:05
oh yeah oh I just ordered one of those the other day that's a good point and pretty much all e-bikes are 104 BCD
8:11
because most of them are coming with I'm not proprietary cranks but it's like but there's a lot of those Praxis cranks
8:17
yeah the cranks are driven off the motor and then the motor just has a spider they don't really have a direct Mount well boss you can't get a direct Mount
8:23
but uh most I'd say the majority of e-bikes are coming with a spider that uses a 104 BCD chainring Mount and
8:30
you're a lot more limited on the different cranks you could upgrade to on an e-bike yes because of that much so
8:35
and they're like old school it's just crank arms it's not a not a spindle right because it spindles the motor so
8:41
yeah yep interesting well there you go speaking of interesting the number four
8:47
product the SRAM NX Eagle cassette so the NX
8:55
cassette is uh it's not their least expensive one I guess SX would
9:00
technically be right yeah to make it is do they call SX Eagle is it SX Eagle yeah it's still 12 speed right yeah so
9:07
NX Eagle 12 speed but it does use a HG or what some people would call it
9:13
Shimano freehub body Amendment which is different than the GX and above yep which is XD for your body so yeah I mean
9:21
that's been a popular cassette for a while now because you can get Eagle on your bike with that cassette and you don't have to swap out your existing HG
9:28
freehub body if you have one yep sure yeah okay that makes sense makes
9:33
sense now now you should have done the ear interesting plug for this one what's so interesting
9:40
Jared about the NX cassette no I don't know about the next one I thought you were kind of going back to
9:47
what I was saying about the next interesting product well what's interesting about the Box group set I
9:52
mean it's a very affordable group set um that is solid that's pretty
9:59
interesting nothing huh crickets cool well
10:06
box I mean box Prime 9 is is is interesting it's it's definitely uh not srammer Shimano and the fact that it
10:13
even made this list is cool yeah for you know having a different take on a drivetrain nine speed uh very low price
10:21
point given what it does and is um yeah I don't know I'm impressed that box is there
10:27
so good for them yeah not easy to go play ball with SRAM and Shimano in a
10:33
patent Minefield yeah they did literally swinging at the biggest Goliath there is so yeah
10:39
and it comes in a box [Music]
10:44
if we didn't we didn't even make it what 10 minutes until the dad jokes now oh boy what do you expect last one of
10:52
this category uh number six not interesting just a GX Eagle cassette
10:58
yeah yeah I mean great Gazette great great set good replacement yeah just
11:03
easily predictable that it would be there before we move on categories though when are we going to say our
11:09
favorite products oh you want to name your favorite drivetrain product
11:14
I thought we were just gonna say favorite product of 2022. yeah that that
11:19
was what I was thinking in my head I didn't really specify though so yeah
11:25
we'll do that show okay mid show we'll talk about it stick around yeah we don't
11:31
want to make you wait too long we don't want to make you wait too long okay
11:36
grips uh this this is awesome I'm really stoked to see this uh the trail one
11:42
Hell's Gate grip was actually the number one seller for us which were really actual real data yeah
11:50
it is we didn't just make that up that is real um I mean obviously we we talk about it
11:56
a lot because Trail one is a brand that we own equity in and uh code developed and especially on this design as well of
12:02
that grip Liam and I personally worked on it a lot so um to get to kind of build Trail one on
12:07
the side of WC and then see a product like the Hell's Gate grip end up in the number one spot was amazing so we're
12:13
really happy about that um just kind of proof of concept we designed exactly what we wanted we kind of took all of the best features and
12:20
little tiny intricate details of all the other grips that we really loved and smashed them into one and it worked and
12:27
people liked it except for people who like extremely skinny grips known as
12:32
Jared oh I still like it well yeah but you don't ride it because yeah I'm just
12:37
not used to I mean yeah obviously if I wrote a longer like I'd get used to it but I'm just used to a thinner grip no I I understand I mean that's why there's
12:44
you know different flavors for different people the Hell's Gate grip is I would say maybe a mid thick it's not a thick
12:50
slim thick but it's but it's not like a thin it's slim thick mid thick mid thick mid thick mid thick it's thick with two
12:57
C's it's not fat which I also I will say in years ago I used to like a really
13:04
thin grip like the original Ruffian do you remember that thing yeah that's what you're running when I first started
13:09
you're like yes super thin Ruffian like no waffle no padding and then I slowly
13:15
then it was the Ruffian MX with the waffle on the bottom then it was the elite pro elite pro which will be pretty
13:21
much number two so yeah there you go then it was elite pro that's what I was running for a while I really liked that
13:26
grip and but then I the more I rode the more I was like man I just want a little bit more cushion there under the you
13:33
know the actual bones in the hand and just made more sense for those like bigger days on the bike or multiple days in a row on the bike especially the bike
13:39
parks and that's when I started deciding to adapt to a little bit thicker of a grip for comfort yeah I remember we put on those Elite Pros on your bike and you
13:47
went to Whistler and he came back you're like dude I need different grips yeah my hands are beat up yeah yeah it's just
13:53
not enough I mean some of those things if you ride outlier right you know if you ride one hour a day for four days a
13:59
week it's like oh you can kind of get away with anything yeah but if you ride consecutive days of 20 miles a day or
14:05
consecutive days at a bike park then you start realizing like every little tiny downfall in a grip
14:10
so anyways the ge1 is in the number third spot from ergon is that the grip you ride that would be the GFR one oh
14:17
you ride the GFR one yeah well didn't make the list I think the GFR one uh was
14:22
actually out of stock for a while and then I also like the GD one which is like the Slimmer version without the little things on it yeah all right there
14:30
you go there you go and in the fourth spot pnw loam grips it's a nice thin grip that comes in a
14:37
million different colors and is affordably priced yeah
14:50
whatever you want to call it fat beefy chunky Thin and Thick Mike Tyson here
14:57
let's move on to tires please oh my favorite category Liam's favorite category this this well I guess everyone
15:05
already knows the honorable mention which is the Conti tires uh the ridiculously named zynotol kryptol and
15:12
argital I I honestly feel like if people hear that they're gonna think that's a joke yeah I mean I'm not gonna SMS but I
15:19
mean you definitely spelled them mostly wrong well but like I said not gonna
15:24
criticize you because they're crazy who's gonna know how to spell xinatol kryptol and argital and then go
15:30
pharmacist knows how to spell all of them yeah exactly go to the Internet or our search bar on our website and type
15:36
that in yeah I mean I guarantee you that most people are are typing them the same way that you did yeah yeah spelled wrong
15:42
ridiculous Marvel mention or good tires they actually ended up they're sweet on
15:47
World Cup podiums maybe winning some World Cups did they win any World Cups this year uh not male
15:53
that one of them and I think that was just a Podium definitely been on World Cup Podium Kerr
16:01
got second he almost won okay at One race um they've been on definitely a lot of
16:06
podiums I know Charlie Hatton was on um um a few other guys from the r13 team
16:11
Atherton team did really well along with the pivot Factory team so yeah so definitely an honorable mention
16:17
something to take a look at there because those things are looking pretty impressive yeah but as far as weight goes Liam are they as light as the like
16:26
direct competitor of a Maxis Tire they are yeah they're I mean within 50 grams
16:32
yeah they're right there 50 Grand kind of hard for Jeff to swallow 50 grams whoa 50 grams here's the thing though
16:39
your tire varies like whatever the site says yeah your DHR 2 and 2.4 one could be 50
16:48
grams heavier than the other and it's the same special speaking of weight weenies I think at one point we had a customer who asked us like how many of
16:55
these tires do you have in stock and can you weigh every individual one and ship me the lightest one wow well I used to
17:00
do that when I was racing I'd I'd get my I see you are waiting 10 or 12 12 tires for the season from Schwalbe
17:07
they'd send me the whole box and then I'd go there and weigh them and then I would ride the heaviest in the early
17:13
season and then the lightest one of the more important races strategic yeah strategy yeah some of those are like 70
17:20
70 grams difference for the same exact tire from the heaviest to the lightest imagine doing that every time you got a
17:26
new tire oh hold on honey I gotta go to the shop
17:32
and order my set of cards I'm not taking it that far uh and I don't think the people who are in this you know the top
17:38
five tire buyers here yeah these tires did that either so number one dhr2 from Maxis
17:44
not really a surprise there I mean I guess if you had to pick you know what's weird the dhf didn't land on this list
17:50
yeah it's well it's gone man I mean oh the dhr2 is just kind of a if we would
17:56
have put all this has the same exact Corner knobs this would be just a list of Max's Tires yeah but you know we had
18:02
yeah we had to cut the cord somewhere yeah I mean DHR two I I personally run the dhr2 because it's available in the
18:08
widths that I like as opposed to the dhf yeah and it is lighter in the same size
18:14
as a dhf as exact same Corner knobs exact same everything except for the center tread and I think the dhr2 center
18:21
tread rolls faster and clears mud better so it's just kind of a more versatile and I think that has an opinion better
18:26
transition from Center to leaned over yeah the dhf has that pretty big uh yeah
18:34
Gap in the middle that leads to like a little Washi transition until the side knobs grab some people might like that
18:40
some people do and it works well if you have actual soil unlike we do here we just have hard packed dirt yeah yeah
18:45
true yeah number two position the Maxis acid guy ass guy that is a grippy tire I love
18:53
that tire that's a really grippy tire then the number third spot the dissector which I was kind of surprised to see
19:00
that here because it's not a super grippy Tire it's kind of more on that like trail bike fast rolling Tire which
19:06
I like and I actually use the dissector I have it on the front of my bike right now I'd be curious because the dissector
19:12
got a lot of OE spec this last year I'll be curious because remember the ardents were still super popular way after their
19:19
Heyday right they got surpassed by the tires but we're still selling a lot of them because they're so heavily OE specs yeah
19:26
and people just get whatever they came on their bike they just replaced the exact logo that's on their tires yeah
19:32
um a lot of people may be running it as a rear too I don't know yeah that too it's a good rear I like it in the rear more than the front personally
19:39
it rolls pretty fast good grip yeah it does number fourth spot number fourth
19:44
number fourth spot that makes sense delium rugged we talked about delium
19:49
tires on the podcast I don't know handful episodes back yeah but they're yeah I mean I don't think they clarify
19:56
their mission but their mission seems to be making really good mountain bike tires for essentially half the price of
20:01
everyone else yeah in the mountain bike world yeah and they're pretty much doing it yeah which is pretty impressive so
20:08
yeah good to see them making that you know almost on the podium almost downhill races technically is on the
20:15
large code yeah on a large Podium um yeah that's a brand to check out if you're going through tires a lot uh
20:22
deliums are half the price of basically every other brand yep and they're quite impressive yeah
20:28
number five what do we got church I'm gonna say it correctly now
20:35
do you think that's how I'm pretty sure that you know why the guy sent us a voice memo and I'm pretty sure that's right in some podcast or YouTube video
20:42
we said we weren't exactly sure how to pronounce that word and uh a German guy
20:47
sent us a voice memo on Instagram telling us yeah it was like no it's like
20:53
the c s c h v w that makes like a V sound uh German listeners out there
21:01
go ahead and send us the DM and let us know if I said it right again because obviously we didn't learn yeah
21:07
well we call it Schwalbe um the knobby Nick the knobby Nick was the
21:14
tire was the most popular one yeah um that one's been hanging on for a long time that's a good versatile Tire yeah
21:21
whatever indeed and then a uh the number six spot vitoria Mezcal the Italian diet
21:28
with the Mexican drink I was gonna say that's a it's a Mexican yeah alcohol well you know I don't think the Vito's
21:34
the Chianti really has for sure Mezcal is from Mexico and not from Italy or
21:40
Spain or somewhere else like with agave like it's grown in Mexico I mean the word could have two different meanings
21:46
and two different languages don't quote us on this one not an expert not positive I do know I drink Miss call
21:52
when I go to Mexico yeah yeah yeah yeah not wrong so we have some missed call
21:58
here and it's way too small I do not like it yeah it tastes like give me some 1942.
22:05
um yeah okay although Drake is 42. the next
22:10
category is handlebars but before we get into that we would like to hit you with
22:16
a message from our sponsors and now a word from our sponsors the
22:22
advertisement this podcast episode is from us worldwide Cyclery we are doing
22:28
uh and actually you know what we're doing this with Worldwide Cyclery Kettle intro one 10 off gift cards for the off
22:34
season investors could be you might have that turned off on Kettle I can't
22:40
remember oh I think I'm gonna I think we should pull the whole thing on January 31st so if you're hearing this and you
22:45
want 10 off a gift card jump on it maybe we'll run it till February
22:52
this is live on trail one this has been a really good ad yeah that was that was one of the least I don't know eventful
22:58
ads I've heard on this podcast and I listen to every single one
23:05
that's all we got thank you and now back to the show back to the show
23:10
and now back to the show handlebars one up components carbon handlebars they
23:17
reigned in the number one spot this is the second year in a row I'm not surprised those are those are really
23:24
good bars and they are to this day the only I don't know what would you call it like they have a actual novel unique
23:31
novel feature design um they they basically engineered vertical compliance and lateral
23:38
stiffness into the carbon handlebar like where the rise is it has like a unique look and shape to it uh we did a YouTube
23:45
video about these how long ago was that three years ago two years ago three years ago at least it was a while ago
23:51
yeah and uh it was actually really fun I I rode the bars back to back same Trail
23:56
same bike uh rode four or five different handlebars and it was way more
24:02
surprising than I thought doing that test which is we did it in a very scientific way which is hard to do with
24:07
any bike part but handlebars is one of the more plausible ones to do it with and I I was way impressed at how
24:13
different ever every bar felt there is obviously definitely absolutely had the most vertical compliance but it was uh
24:21
yeah it was just really surprising to be like wow these rental bars feel like a pipe of Steel
24:26
um I didn't think so did The Race Face bars the true beta Bars were like a pretty good hybrid that I actually really liked and kind of took a lot of
24:33
thought when we went to go design the trail One bars but the one-up bars had the most compliance which if you have a
24:39
rigid Fork like my Gravelly mountain bike weird thing that I'd ride a lot makes a ton of sense or if you had a
24:46
bike park makes a lot of sense yeah um yeah anyways they're good bars yeah no surprise number one spot but not as
24:52
good as our number two bar wow well that's like opinion yeah situation what is that objective
25:07
uh ended up in the number two spot and the Crockett alloy bars ended up in the number three spot
25:14
um by the way Crockett is Crockett Hills in in Northern California all the trail one products every product sold a dollar
25:19
goes back to the trail network uh that they're named after so those those handlebars
25:24
um yeah donations get made to Crockett which is pretty cool and like I just mentioned we kind of designed the
25:30
Crockett card bars around not being really flexy but also not being rigid
25:35
pipe the Goldilocks oh You Took the Words Can Say
25:40
and then the NV composite M6 bars premium premium creme de la Creations
25:48
on it and it makes you look high class yeah people are envious of you it's a
25:53
status symbol it is it's like a yeti on the back of your Tesla the one up USA rack and your Envy bars Gucci bag oh
26:02
that's gone too far a stone mountain biker oh come on and you definitely don't have the number five bars which were race-based Chester handlebars yeah
26:08
four and five are like opposites of this yeah yeah very space station handlebar
26:14
is you know a bit of a dirt bag don't want to waste your money on handlebars so you get just like a reliable Workhorse that's not very expensive and
26:21
works good and has good Geo and Bam There You Go Race Face chest perfect Race Face Chester boom but if you want more style you get a crocodile and then
26:30
foreign [Music]
26:37
and you know um I'm a pretty big fan of the uh this brand the dominated of nakawa Industry nine yeah industry nine
26:44
the one slash one Enduro S wheel set was the top seller which yeah makes sense
26:50
it's it is kind of that perfect uh certainly not a cheap wheel set but certainly not a super high priced wheel
26:56
set it's kind of that perfect Middle Ground still an alloy Rim really good hubs
27:02
um that's the one does that have straight pull steel spokes or does that have j bends that's Enduros Hydra
27:08
yeah Hydra does okay so the one to one has just the regular yeah yeah which the
27:15
number two spot was the S Hydra Hydra but same same with Hydro Hub and
27:20
straight pull spokes and in third spot the Enduro 305s from industry 9 which is just a slightly
27:27
different Rim also has Hydra hubs oh that's this those were the system Wheels yeah it was the system with industry
27:32
nines sort of proprietary aluminum straight pull spoke um yeah those are nice yeah those are
27:39
fancy those are nice and the Workhorse DT Swiss e 1900s uh which came in here
27:47
uh that price was wrong no just deleted that cool yeah
27:53
I was gonna say that's not cheap yeah it wasn't affordable I think that was the rear wheel prices yeah they're like a
27:59
couple hundred bucks each each though yeah well the rear is more expensive than the front yeah they're like somewhere maybe 650 ish or so I'm not
28:07
even gonna say a price to get the price back wheels are so hard to tell someone the price of Wheels because it's like well depending on what free hit body
28:13
depending on 26 27 529 uh did you want this spoke configuration or that one so
28:18
it's like yeah it's just it's kind of confusing but PG Swiss e1900s a great mounted bike wheel set DD Swiss I mean
28:25
they're going to be in here for sure yeah number five spot bird hawk 27s
28:30
yeah yeah let's go
28:36
uh bird we made a YouTube video about their noodle Spooks yeah I don't think they like us call them noodle spokes oh
28:42
they're spaghetti spaghetti spokes more to be scientific well we also gave away a couple sets of we did yeah we did some
28:48
Birdwell giveaways which is pretty rad so they collaborated with we are one to make that North American-made carbon Rim
28:54
which is their Hawk 27 Rim yep correct and then industry nine hubs on that wheel set also made in America and then
29:00
the bird spokes which are Made In America which are ultra high molecular weight polyethylene polyethylene we
29:06
almost said that at the same time it's pretty good beautiful it is a really interesting I mean that is one of those
29:12
things you got to watch the video but uh for a more in-depth review on it but that's totally one of those things that I can't even remember you came across
29:18
that on Instagram or something you're like oh look at this brand and I was like yeah I don't know man looks kind of like spinergy I'm not gonna bother and
29:25
then well I grew up in the world I know Synergy was popular and they had those
29:32
noodly Kevlar Spokes and then like the company went out of business and then there was a carcass and it came back and
29:37
then I don't know I don't know everything about spinergy but they're just they're not really relevant anymore
29:42
um maybe they're still making good Wheels I don't know maybe I should look into that before I say that but there's certainly not like popping up in
29:49
Instagram feeds like a mavic situation it kind of sounds like a mavic situation but I put them down the same road yeah
29:54
yeah um but we got the birds to test and all three of us were
30:00
we're all wow these are actually you could say we were jazzed we were Jazz like these are light yeah these are not
30:07
flexi like you would initially think at all they have a really unique feel the way that they sort of dampen the stuff
30:14
you run over with the bike the dirt um they're durable yeah it was we were all just impressed and I think literally all
30:20
three of us ride them now yeah yeah and we have yet to break one we have yet to break a Spoke
30:25
um I'm just gonna lead that right into that is my favorite product of 2022.
30:31
that's why you wanted to wait that's like I mean it's kind of the middle yeah there's no agenda yeah he had his agenda
30:37
he didn't want to tell us though so that's fine all right what was yours secret is the Secret's out yeah mine too
30:43
I mean at least the spokes it's off the table like another one but
30:49
fine that's my runner-up I like the spokes I mean I had him lace up one of my wheels and
30:55
um yeah loved it so boom um I'll come up with another one oh I know one yeah
31:00
you're not even remembering the five Dev cranks that's gonna be one of you guys oh I love those yeah those are cool was
31:06
that gonna be yours did I guess yours I actually didn't have it on here but I didn't even think of it not really no
31:14
um I didn't uh but considering I have them on all of my bikes yeah that's why I guess that was
31:21
yours because you put them on all your bikes I would like every new bike you build you saved them and put the old ones back on that bike and then yeah I
31:30
uh yeah yeah they're red my first favorite product of this year is my
31:35
Forest Hall Siri on oh yeah that would have been my second guess yeah I've been
31:40
you haven't been e-biking more I've been e-biking a lot you still ride your other bike oh yeah of course but yeah you have
31:47
to set a rule right yeah he's not jaded man you have to set a rule of like okay I'm gonna go out and do four hours on my
31:54
normal pedal bike and then next day or the day before one of them ride the e-bike so you stack up two days and I'm
32:01
not being completely lazy although I'm pretty sure last week and a half it's been raining a lot so I think I
32:07
pedaled one time today and like one time 10 days ago and everything in between and it's been
32:13
e-bike or shuttling hmm slippery slope there Liam it is
32:19
[Laughter] well my number two product would be five Dev cranks and specifically going with
32:25
shorter length five Dev cranks I'm not really liking that 160 165s on the pedal
32:31
bike 160s on the e-bike and the shuttle bike nice yeah interesting all right
32:36
cool well speaking of the Four Stall Sirion which is your pick we just came out with a video All About That bike and
32:41
that brand on YouTube so if you're interested in a lightweight e-bike check that out yeah on the YouTubes I'm about
32:48
to put out a bike check blog super in depth of my four Soul should be live in
32:53
like two days probably when this podcast comes out it'll be live what dropper post do you have on it because that's the next category uh it's not one that
33:01
made the list but it is maybe my one of my top five products of this year the wolf tooth resolve dropper post oh yeah
33:07
that's that should be an honorable mention because it didn't come out until September so that doesn't count yeah
33:15
in the drop post category yeah my post on my bike right now uh I've got that KS
33:22
carbon Lev thing yeah I just really wouldn't recommend to be honest yeah I'd rather like if you want the lightest
33:28
dropper post because you're a total weight weenie that's the one that's why I have it um if you want the best most reliable
33:34
dropper post uh get something else uh carbon it is the lightest straight up
33:41
reimates it because he has to work on it so he's always like just get another one I'm like no dude has anyone made a
33:47
lighter one yet no no okay then gosh I did have the Crank Brothers High Line on
33:53
my Rascal before that well and I'm gonna get that Crank Brothers Highline 11 with
33:58
the carbon shaft yeah you should use that because even if it's but that's still not lighter even if it's 10 or 15
34:03
grams heavier I'll accept if it's gonna be more than reliable I'm gonna find like a super obscure European company
34:09
that makes a lighter drop of posts enough from a reputable boom well it's
34:14
okay there is definitely a lot of weird obscure European mountain bike parts of
34:21
all kinds that are obscenely light and amazing but they're also five thousand dollars no problem for Jeff Kaley yeah I
34:29
think you need to get one of those I'm not going that far are those fancy intent upside down forks that are like
34:34
no way I'm not going carbon steer and everything are those actually lighter though are they just cool for the sake
34:40
of this podcast they are lighter and then he's gonna have to research it whichever place you got on your bike right now Fox transfer uh on my sb140
34:48
and then I also have a Crank Brothers Highline because it is a great price and I paid for that one true well the number
34:55
one dropper post Fox transfer Factory number two was the one up components V2 the number three was the pnw low lomer
35:05
I'll come all different price points Fox fan transfer Factory is kind of that bougie match your kishima fork and shock
35:10
new high-end post right up there um the one up is and the pnw are more on
35:16
the less expensive side but still bulletproof reliable yeah one up has extremely low stack height they're both
35:22
more user serviceable I guess you could say certainly um yeah all right dropper seatpost
35:28
remotes or levers or levers or levers relievers how do you want to call it I like lever I like lever because you
35:35
sound fancy yeah the number one was almost the one I have on my bike I have
35:41
the wolf tooth remote uh on my bike it's my favorite one that I always use I like that one too I
35:47
just love that one uh but the number one was the wolf tooth remote light action so it's essentially the exact same lever
35:52
but it has uh our exact same remote with a longer lever blade correct increasing
35:58
leverage increase the leverage so you have a more of a light action you have to push nearly as hard with your thumbs up a lever is because it offers Leverage
36:08
yeah you might be on some chair you're onto something you should we should spend an hour and a half Googling that
36:13
after the podcast I'm down uh number two p w loam lever that's a nice one a
36:19
little nice pad rubber pad on there you can change the colors is that what you have on your bike yeah um no I have the actually I have the
36:25
wolf tooth remote on my El Jefe yeah and then I have a fox transfer one on the other one which happens to be our number
36:32
three it is they should call it the fox transfer V2 but I think they kind of took the V1 and just tried to shove it
36:38
on the rug like it never happened it has erased it from history I just erased it from history so we'll forget about that one too yeah
36:43
and got in trouble a forgettable yeah I I said that it wasn't that good on a
36:48
YouTube video and fox was like me me why'd you do that but you know guess what I was like guess what it's not that
36:54
good I'm not just gonna lie to people but guess what and then they revive him out the better one made it way better and now it's all it's awesome lever and
37:00
it's in the number three spot yeah if you said this is great they probably would have kept it the same which would have been horrible for the bike industry
37:05
and Humanity as a whole it's like if something actually genuinely like you
37:11
know it warrants criticism then yeah you should give it because otherwise it'll be the same and it'll say I agree man
37:16
yeah that's why I do it yep um breaks breaks break this up and talk
37:21
about brakes [Music]
37:27
number one magura mt7s uh they spot again yeah that's the second year in a
37:33
row which is amazing that megura has really just taken some market share in
37:38
the North American Market slid in under the radar he really did out the top like yeah number of people are still fighting
37:44
for the win but they don't even know that someone's beating them yeah yeah you're right it's like Ceramics mono or hyper Focus looking at each other and
37:51
here's my gear just like selling a lot more brakes and all of them yeah that's a really good way of putting it land yeah you know it's like let everybody
37:57
else all the peasants deal with their stuff and the girls on their high horse at the top I don't know if they look at it quite
38:03
like that but they're making good breaks I thought you're gonna say something about them being peasants but yeah I actually swapped
38:10
well you've been bridemakers yeah Forestville came with mt7s to start and I was like well I'll just run them and
38:16
see how they are a lot of people like them and if not I'll throw the code RC's on them because that's what I've been liking and uh I dug them so much that
38:25
I swap frames uh e-bike frames and those had mt5s on them which is pretty much my
38:30
understanding the same exact break with a little bit different lever so I left the empty fives on like those a lot so
38:36
and then fives are in the number four spot by the way mt5 is our number four spot and then I built up my sp-120 and I
38:42
like having the same break and same brake pad so I just put mt5s on that too yeah a logical guy
38:49
the number two spot SRAM code Ric's which Jared I know you love I do love those I have those on both my bikes Liam
38:55
is a former lover of this ramco RCS I still like him he's a current Informer lover but you swapped it all out I don't
39:02
have any on my bikes but I'm not a hater yeah yeah he's like the the swinger of the break world
39:08
[Music] I ran the code rfcs on my Rascal all year and I love those things yeah it's a
39:15
super powerful good strand break number three spot the Workhorse Shimano SLX
39:20
slicks those are I mean the price of Shimano SLX I'll give it to them there is absolutely no better break at that
39:26
price for sure yeah yeah well actually McGrew does offer a break that's pretty close in price but we haven't tried it
39:32
yeah SLX design has been extensively tested
39:39
and you I mean it's just if that was my price point there's no way I'd pick a different break to be honest I like SLX
39:46
or xt's but better than the xtrs I still said that varying bite plan they just
39:51
kind of yeah nobody likes that yeah yeah interesting so number four who already mentioned my gear mt5 and then in the
39:58
fifth spot the trp DHR Evo which is that sort of uh big dog four piston downhill
40:05
break that people love to put on their Enduro bikes yeah I have it on I have a
40:10
set on my shuttle bike and I like them but yeah they're a little heavy to go on like my other bike so I didn't do that
40:16
yeah all right they're good though Saddles Shadows also known as seats uh
40:22
by the way on this Saddles topic we made a YouTube video about Saddles and we put in a lot of research into that video and
40:29
kind of really spent a lot of time breaking out the way we were going to explain what matters when you're
40:35
considering buying a saddle how who you are what bike you ride how often you ride it how long you ride it all these other things then we even had a phone in
40:43
a friend we got Jonathan Lee who's like a big time Roadie and cross-country Rider to who's super knowledgeable about
40:48
the stuff who's works over at trainer road we got him in the video to talk a lot about it more extensively so if
40:54
you're really on the saddle train you can't figure out which one you like or you're going to buy a new one and you want to like really dig into the topic
41:00
check out that video uh number one spot WTB volt classic classic classic classic
41:06
design available in a whole bunch of different rail materials and price points looks good I mean can't go wrong
41:11
ergon SM Pro and number two so when you like Jerry I'm a fan of that one yeah you like that one chair's a fan I'm a
41:18
fan sure it's a fan uh then the number three how about this Willie title MTB
41:23
js1 saddle I wouldn't have believed it unless I saw right here I know I of course I didn't believe it either I was
41:29
like I gotta see the data and I like dug around I was like no yeah okay Jared literally didn't believe me I had to say
41:34
wow it's like a dirt jump sound I'm just really curious why I mean title so tidal is a is a dirt jump free ride
41:41
brand um owned and operated by I think predominantly Brett reader yeah the
41:46
famed absolutely astonishingly good um Free Rider and uh yeah I mean that
41:52
that saddle fits their brand it's very they're jump-esque looking I don't really know putting it on their
41:58
Enduro bikes because I mean it's definitely gotten more padding and more cushion than every other saddle that we sell basically so I think that's kind of
42:05
like a trend people put in just kind of whatever saddle I mean yeah maybe yeah
42:10
you're right there like a Ranger with a chromag saddle on there isn't it yeah yeah true
42:17
yeah some Saddles WTV Silverado in the number four spot
42:24
that's my preferred saddle I really like that it's yeah another classic design I have the one with carbon rails it is
42:30
stealth bomber looking it's low profile lightweight low padding uh I mean say
42:36
it's legit it's legit I really like it it's not a cushy saddle by any means but it's an awesome saddle that I really
42:41
enjoy slim oh actually I have the volt on my uh gravel bike thing yeah so I
42:47
have both of those incredible bike thing well yeah supposed to be a gravel bike it has like flat bars and a dropper post
42:54
uh number five sdg Bell layer 3.0 real classic right there yeah well 3.0
43:00
version of the classic so yeah it's modern take on a classic modern take on the classic uh pedals one up
43:08
composite pop it up again yeah actually the number one spot was one up composite and the number two spot was one up
43:14
aluminum which is killer they do make a really nice pedal clears mud well grips well looks awesome a bunch of different
43:19
colors yeah what more to say yeah what more to say durable service old uh then
43:24
in number three spot the pnw range composite pedal that's cool to see that didn't that come out in 22. I think the
43:30
camera wasn't that long ago or like last year maybe end of 21 but it's not too old yeah it's nice to see that in there
43:37
uh number four spot deity death trap composite pedal then the Race Face Chester composite pedal composite pedals
43:44
dominated the list and also so did flat pedals and this made me realize we probably should have done a clipless pedals and a flat pedals like separately
43:51
yeah why didn't you do that Jared well yeah um noted for next year I mean I guess in
43:58
the scheme of things clipless pedals just don't sell nearly as much as flat pedals and it would be there's that
44:03
Shimano Crank Brothers and maybe a trickle in from another dimensions
44:09
yeah yeah so yeah well anyway they're your top pedals no surprise no surprise
44:16
forks forks is the next category number one the big super Enduro 38 38 Fox 38
44:25
that is a good Fork fantastic I mean that is just it looks amazing it works amazing exceptional exceptionable oh I
44:33
was gonna say you can't really bad about that thing and exceptional I said exception exceptionable
44:40
yes foreign so as we mentioned earlier these
44:46
products were picked from revenue generated and or volume and the forks and the forks category well a lot of
44:53
these categories they're all over the place right because you can imagine not as many people buy a fox 38 as do a rock
44:59
shock Recon which is a completely different price point that is probably the best uh Fork
45:05
under 250 whereas the fox 38's best Fork over a thousand dollars
45:10
those are your one in two spots right there uh number three 34 Step cast you
45:16
got a 34 Step cast on something don't you or you just have a 34. I just have a third step cast one and a step cast I'm
45:22
a big boy you had that on your SB 100 yeah which DJ Green Goblin over here now
45:28
has DJ Green Goblin Goblin as a fox 34 Step cast yeah he does number four spot
45:35
Fox 36 which I do have yeah yeah I got the new one yeah because
45:41
they what what are the fox is so confusing every April they come out with next year's Forks well I think they
45:47
changed the uh the chassis with different material and showed off a little bit of weight but that was their 2 000 23 Forks that came out in April of
45:55
2022. right yeah so that's the version you want to buy yeah right the giveaway is that really rounded Arch right well
46:03
that's been there for two years now yeah but the newest one just like they shaved off I don't know like 25 grams or something maybe a little more than that
46:09
but prior to that rounded Arch was very different right correct and it kind of got overshadowed by the 38 because it
46:15
came out with a 38 yeah which took all the all the Press yeah
46:20
36 and the pistachio 38 that's when those all came out yep
46:25
um yeah great for work not 36. it is good yeah but you know what is shocking
46:34
is our next category rear shocks float X
46:39
yeah the all-round amazing Enduro shock trail bike shock yeah float X2 just a
46:45
bigger beefier version of that for longer travel bikes and downhill bikes yeah the Big Daddy Big Daddy RockShox
46:51
Monarch RL yeah less expensive yeah my volume fits on a lot of bikes absolutely
46:57
the new rock shock Super Deluxe ultimate oof yep nice Reservoir I really like the
47:03
new Super Deluxe ultimate yeah that's the one yeah the new new that's the one yeah is that what you have right now
47:11
super Lux ultimate coil on my uh forestall
47:16
and then I have a float X2 on my Crestline downhill bike nice yep
47:22
very good I have the rockstruck Sid setup sit ultimate Deluxe on my Revel
47:28
Ranger Light trail bike and then the Rascal had a pike on it and a Super Deluxe yep ultimate
47:35
was it ultimate yeah it was Ultimate Super Deluxe ultimate 9000.
47:41
um that name Super Deluxe ultimate those are like three synonyms yeah that's that's unbelievable
47:49
um what do you have on your bikes uh yeah I have a float X on my SB 140 and then I have well there is no rear shock
47:56
on my other bike because it's a hardtail it's your legs oh it's my legs man I suck it
48:03
before we get into maintenance and miscellaneous and the top products of the entire year and the least popular
48:09
product of the entire year a quick break so you can hear this uh nice sound
uh the reigning King of the maintenance category SRAM butter grease works works
48:32
for a lot of stuff yeah muck off bio dry bike chain lube great Lube top selling
48:37
chain lube really important actually works really good good stuff number three spot Buzzy's slick honey that's my
48:43
favorite mmm me too you like silicone what do you use it for everything everything well not everything chain
48:48
lube really shared I'm not gonna spread it Hub internals in
48:55
suspension mostly yeah drop a post dropper post yeah no it's good this do you use it for the exact same things
49:02
you'd use butter grease for I do and do you think that there is any a chemical
49:07
difference between slick honey and butter grease I haven't dove in dived into the grease uh but I bet you they're
49:14
like 98 the same yeah yeah I think Jared said that while you're filming the video so they're probably making the same Factory uh the
49:21
number three spot was the park tool sac-2 what is what is s again something
49:27
the uh that's the uh something assembly compound that's the yeah super grip assembly compound yeah yeah it's
49:33
assembly compound for like if you have yeah uh yeah carbon paste yeah yeah I wasn't sure
49:40
what sac-2 is super grip assembly compound so handled carbon handlebars on
49:45
your stem controls grips seat post into your carbon frame yeah it makes sense that's a really good product and I think
49:51
Park Tool didn't have it for a long time so makes sense that they came out with it came out a really good one and it
49:56
sold black hot cakes boom speaking of cakes any well miscellaneous where we
50:03
talk about the rest I get that oh yeah what got a cake or any uh any other honorable mentions in the the
50:09
maintenance category um what's that chain lube that you liked
50:14
well all right squirt the squirt squirt and when we
50:20
travel I put squirt on your bike yeah I know it I do think it lasts the longest although it's probably a little gunkier
50:27
than the muck off it seems thicker yeah it's more sure thicker you have to put it on Let it
50:33
fully dry fully dry yeah so that's it that's kind of annoying because you gotta let it sit overnight usually yeah
50:39
it's like not the chain leave you just like throw on your bike before yeah yeah well sometimes last night Jared
50:45
isn't the same as how many people are gonna do that how many people are gonna do that I do am I driving yeah they're
50:51
spotless that is one thing I have like told myself I'm gonna do more is like go out to my bike the night before a ride and just make sure it's dialed instead
50:58
of like waking up you know I gotta go to other surfaces you know it's even easier Jared having it dialed already get back
51:03
from your ride and just wipe off the chain and throw chain lube on and now you're asking a lot 60 seconds yeah 60
51:10
Seconds this is turned into a psychiatric counseling session let's go into the
51:16
miscellaneous category number one spot yeah Race Face T2 Half
51:22
Stack tailgate pad that's basically a really nice Race Face tailgate pad for the bed of your truck but it's the half
51:27
version of it for two bikes for two bikes it's a Half Stack offensive in any way shape or form yeah I don't
51:34
think so yeah they're half stock oh no that's like short that's short stack short stack and that's pancakes pancakes
51:41
I guess not that's like half pint like hey they're half pint yeah yeah so yeah
51:46
this is a great it's a great tailgate pad that's just not as big as a normal one yeah it doesn't block a backup camera yeah
51:54
it's convenient nope doesn't cover up your logo or the other side your uh release oh yeah the handle tailgate
52:01
handle yeah that's nice there's no no wonder it's sold like hot cakes yeah uh easier to take on number two spot lasign
52:07
flow bottle cage side loader side loader I like that's my personal favorite one that's the cage it comes in a right and
52:14
the left but the also the wolf tooth cage is great too yeah titanium Like the Wolf tooth that's your honorable mention
52:19
that's all right uh number three Pedro's Tire levers no
52:24
wonder those things are amazing the best no one has designed a better tire lever in 19 years
52:32
I will say that the Kush core tire lever bead
52:37
popper whatever they call it that thing is sick for like super super hard and tough tires
52:44
and working with Coach other than that though pages is used all the time yeah yes
52:49
makes sense number four Fox high pressure shock pump 350 PSI
52:55
uh yeah I mean yeah that one's digital right well uh digital one didn't sell as good as the analog oh really yeah oh
53:02
it's like it's like half four times the price and it's more than that isn't that one 30 bucks versus like 120 oh no I
53:07
think it's like 60 bucks for the yeah I should probably look that up before I say it yeah
53:13
type that into the computer there Jared no clue what I got all right well I say number five which is the lasign grip
53:19
Drive HV frame pump um that thing's actually really cool a lot of people are using carrying frame
53:24
pumps with them now either on the frame or in their hydration pack or in their bib pocket as opposed to co2s because
53:31
the frame pumps are more environmentally friendly you don't have to replace them so like a CO2 you get a flat you use it
53:37
you forget and then you forget to replace your cartridges and then you get another flat and you go oh these are used CO2 cartridges so that never
53:43
happens again and they've also made these things so much lighter yeah this this design HV frame pump it almost
53:49
feels weightless in your hand it's super easy to use got a hose inside it's got the hose tucked inside cool and I think
53:55
everyone at one point has messed up putting their CO2 on on there yeah for
54:02
sure so back to what we were just talking about the analog version it's 33 digital version eighty dollars yeah it's
54:09
a big price difference so a little more uh honorable mention crank boots
54:15
uh SRAM crank boots in particular a lot of people bought those because they have SRAM cranks and got to get crank boots I
54:21
don't run them on my five deaths yeah well you can't really don't want to I have a tough guys tough guy best
54:28
selling products of the entire year uh this is just by volume that was I
54:34
understand from number four to number one oh okay yeah okay okay we have number four which has
54:40
been in this for three years running or maybe more years is the uh at least in
54:46
the top five is the DT Swiss 54 tooth ratchet kit oh yeah man we have a really
54:51
old YouTube video on that thing where I basically explained what that does because a lot of bikes come with the
54:56
stock 18 tooth ratchet which has 18 tooth 18 teeth of Engagement which is
55:02
crazy it's a huge amount of lag and drag of nothingness engagement or something it's crazy yeah
55:07
so I shouldn't say lag or drag I said wrong words huge amount of dead zone where you're unengaged and when you
55:12
start pedaling before it engages because you have less engagement and then you can upgrade for it's like 115 bucks or
55:18
something to the 54 tooth slide that in there bam hours three times yeah it makes a major
55:25
difference yeah that's like one of those things like if you have an 18 to DT Swiss Hub right now for 115 dollars you
55:31
can dramatically change the way your bike feels and rides yeah which is pretty cool and why that thing has been attacked three years easy to install
55:37
yourself yep as long as you don't put the Springs backwards don't put the Springs backwards
55:43
um yeah yeah and it's such a hot shower too I know the skew off the top of my head oh yeah yeah hu-1344 yep yeah yeah
55:50
yeah I'm testing you number three spot Fox Factory rebuild kit for float rear
55:57
shocks fits almost every Fox rear shock yeah not all of them but pretty much
56:03
besides the float X2 yeah or a coil shock yeah float rear shocks from like 2000 the year 2000 yep up it's
56:11
incredible and good on them for honestly making them all compatible like I could yeah that was super smart to do that
56:17
instead of just making every shock different like Oh They'll have a new steel kit for every single shark yeah yeah that was a good idea you guys are
56:23
cool it's actually a nice one that's a winning move Fox yeah winning move yeah number two SRAM disc brake pads the
56:31
sintered compound with the steel backed oh but what shape is this for do you know uh I think this is the code one
56:37
code and then G2 is actually the next one because people are obviously going for
56:43
centered pads yep um yeah and I think they typically well codes always come with the centered but
56:49
the g2s come with the organic the g2s come with a powerful powerful organic organic right right
56:55
brake pads there you go brake pads surprise some people wear brake pads number one the number the number one
57:01
spot number one product GX Eagle chain oh
57:07
[Laughter] yeah I mean it's it's a really good
57:13
chain it's at an affordable price point it fits on any Eagle Drive train doesn't
57:18
matter what it is any SX nxgx x01 x01 any of the access variance fits on all
57:23
of those all of them uh so yeah it makes sense why that would sell yeah and
57:29
probably because there was you know 900 people that couldn't get one all of 2020
57:34
and 2021 that were like yes I can buy one now
57:41
the SRAM GX Eagle chain was essentially the toilet paper of 2022. oh it's a good
57:46
paper in 2020. it was a geographical change all chains I should say yeah yeah buy out uh the whole stock at your local
57:54
shop and then sell them to your buddies for a 200 markup yeah for trash yeah you might not have any
58:00
buddies after that yeah all right Jared yeah uh hit that up oh
58:07
yeah the one least sold product the number one least sold product is
58:13
William do you well I was gonna ask you if you want to guess it but you're looking at it right now yeah the Avid bleed block for juicy
58:20
2005-2007 and juicy three brakes and impressive this is the least sold
58:27
product yeah which which so obviously there could have been some products that didn't sell at all right those were not
58:33
included it doesn't count we want the least sold product and this we sold one of for the entire year one it's a bleed
58:39
block for Avid juicy juicy threes yeah 2005 to 2007 versions you know man if
58:46
you're listening and you're bleeding your brakes that block just good for you that's all I got to say it's just amazing somebody bought that what were
58:53
you doing in 2005 to 2007 Jared um I was high school a yeah I think 05 I
58:59
was probably a freshman in high school and I may it probably didn't have juicies I wish I did back then yeah yeah
59:06
I had think I had juices just getting into middle school and
59:13
skating and biking a lot and not riding mountain bikes
59:18
actually and I just started surfing too punk
59:24
jeez that was mean what's mean I'm gonna make him cry didn't mean it punks don't

no one one time I uh this was a few years ago I don't know why I thought
1:00:34
this would be funny I went on the Instagram stories and I think I had a rock shock Fender and and I said first
1:00:41
person to show me their their feet next to their uh RockShox Fork that wants this Fender horrible and it was like
1:00:49
three days hundreds of just gross feet picks on people's Rock shock forks
1:00:55
[Music] I was like that was I thought it was funny Raymond got so upset that he said
1:01:02
Jeff you answer all these DMS yeah I do not like he was grossed out by how many
1:01:08
feet pictures I also hate feet so I would be like quitting yeah when he told
1:01:13
me I was like who cares just open it and say thanks and close it and then I once I started I was like oh this is kind of gross
1:01:18
it's like one after the next like bare feet dirty next to Forks like this all
1:01:24
of the things last thing anyone wants to see is mountain bikers feet yeah that's what you asked for I want to see
1:01:30
pictures of your feet I thought it was funny and it ended up not being funny because like oh you know
1:01:36
15 000 people saw it and 300 of them did it so gross you gotta watch yourself on
1:01:42
the internet yeah so well that's it that's all happy New Year thank you very much sayonara love you cheerio
