DMR Brendog Death Grip

DMR Brendog Death Grip blog review

When Brendog sits down to design a product, you sure as hell should pay attention. The Death Grip from DMR is a well-executed grip. With features pulled from some of his favorite grips on the market, Brendan Fairclough designed a really great all-around grip. With two different thicknesses and compounds, the Deathgrip should feel great under a range of hands. On the inner side of the grip, near the single clamp, is a ribbed area for comfort, followed by knurled area on the other end of the bar. On the bottom is a waffle pattern for grip on the fingers. With the combination of comfort and grip, Brendog has certainly delivered an amazing upgrade to one of your bike’s most vital touch points.

Renthal Lock On grips blog review

We love the Renthal Lock-on grips with Ultra Tacky compound. The Ultra Tacky compound provides a extremely sticky texture that provides consistent grip in all conditions. It works well with the use of gloves or going raw. The small Diamond Knurl pattern is easy to get used to and is smooth on the hands. Having a small, smooth transition to the lock on clamps creates maximum comfort.

ODI Elite Pro Lock On Grips

ODI Elite Pro Lock On grips blog review

A new addition to the classic ODI grip line is the Elite Pro Lock On. Similar to the classic ODI Ruffian grip, the Elite Pro adds some comfort and waffle pattern to key parts of the grip to add riding performance. On top, you will find some ergonomic padding that is raised and shaped like the inside of your palm. This provides a comfortable place for your hands to sit on the roughest downhills. On the bottom and towards the front, you will find a waffle pattern to provide the grip needed to keep the fingers in place. A single clamp design creates more grip space, and at the end of the grip, you will find a tapered and smooth rubber end to keep the edge of the hand on the grip. While all of these grips are our favorite grips, this one finds itself on my personal bike often. It gives the perfect balance between padded comfort and a thin grip feel, great with or without gloves.
  • Ergonomically padded top for comfort
  • Waffle pattern to keep grip
  • Single clamp to provide more space
  • Available in 6 colors
