Employee Spotlight: Liam Woods - Our Spandex Wearing, Wrench Throwing Fashion Model

It's not too often you meet someone as into bikes a Liam, or Young Leezy as many call him around the office. With a background ranging from BMX, XC, road and mountain, Liam eats, sleeps, and breaths bikes of all kinds. This is why he is our head mechanic and designated bike nerd. Constantly tinkering and tuning bikes to their greatest potential, you can see Liam wrenching on a bike just as much as he rides them.  For the rare occasion, he isn't around bikes you can find him hiking, camping, doing yoga, or hitting a night out bouncing from breweries to all-nighters at the local drinking hole. Let's see what makes Liam function...

What is your favorite part about working at Worldwide Cyclery: Talking and being surrounded by bikes all day long, also there is lots of coffee and snacks.

If you could ride any bike in our Worldwide showroom, it would be: Riding the Yeti SB140 is a lot of fun!

Favorite place to ride a bike: Santa Cruz, CA is top, but Whistler is next level.

Favorite non MTB activity: Hiking, Yoga, Camping, Party

What is the craziest thing you've ever done: Do you think my mom will see this? I'll pass on this question.

Drink of choice: Non-Alcoholic, - Kombucha. If Alcoholic, Moscow Mule to warm up, then RBV for the sends.

You can usually catch me listening to: I'm all over the place, most times some Reggae or Funk.

Favorite line from a movie: "You've got to be a stupid mother f**ker to get fired on your day off!" - Smokey from Friday

Typical weekend activities include: Bikes, Beers, Burritos and late-night shenanigans.

Boxers or Briefs: both are a waste of money.

Beer or Liquor: Liquor gets ya quicker.

Pee sitting down or standing up: I've been known to sit down during a late night.

Cereal or Milk in the bowl fist? I lost my first best friend when he poured the milk first, so there is that.

You can eat one meal for the rest of your life, what is it: Hard to beat a solid burrito.

If you could hang out with one person for a day (who doesn't have to be alive) who would it be and why: It would either Be Bradley Nowell, or Malcolm McCormick, just a night with their thoughts would probably change my life.

Name 3 things on your bucket list: I have one that I want to do soon, within 24 hours I want to hike and summit Mt. Whitney and then ride my bike from Whitney portal to Badwater in Death Valley. Hit the highest and lowest point in the continental U.S. on my own power in 24 hours.
