I recently purchased a RockShox Recon Silver TK Fork 26” for my 2008 Giant Yukon, it replaced a worn out Suntour fork and WOW, what a difference it has made. I have noticed a difference both on the trail and off the trail.

When I am off the trail whether it be a gravel road or on the street, the lockout feature has provided an amazing amount of versatility for my bike. No longer do I lose force and momentum while standing up and sprinting and if I need to pop a curb I can quickly reach down and unlock the fork. Off road, the fork provides a much smoother ride, and a much less noisy experience than my stock fork. It provides more comfort and confidence. Adjusting the tension of the fork is simple using a shock pump to inflate to the specified PSI for the rider’s weight. It also features an easily adjustable rebound that complements the adjustable fork tension.

Overall this has been an outstanding upgrade for my bike and I would recommend it for anyone with a mid-level bike, with an entry level suspension fork that needs to be replaced.
