Customer Review: RockShox Reba RL Fork

This review was written by one of our customers, Paul Nindel. He has been looking to upgrade his fork for some time now and decided to pull the trigger on a Rockshox Reba RL suspension fork.

I received my new Rockshox Reba RL 120mm suspension fork 7 days after ordering it. It was packed very well and I was thrilled to find that a spare set of seals and a shock pump is included. I had made the decision to buy the Reba after talking to a Rockshox rep on the phone. I contacted Rockshox (owned by SRAM) to get the inside story on the Reba fork and to find out how long spare parts and seals would be available. I was told that the Reba fork has been around for a few years, was very popular and should be around for at least a few more years (the said maybe forever). He added that buying spare parts should not be a problem down the road.

As for the installation, this fork was a piece of cake to install on my 2004 Gary Fisher Cake 2 Dlx. After trimming the fork tube and installing the lower bearing race, I had the fork installed in less than 10 minutes. I couldn't wait to take it for a test ride around the neighborhood....everything was tight, adjusted and I was ready to go!  That afternoon I took my bike out to a 1,000 acre state park and had a blast!  I love the Lockout feature for long stretches and love the rebound features as well. I'm especially impressed with how stiff I can set this fork and how well it handles on fast downhill single track runs. This fork seems to have given my MTB a 2nd life!

My only regret is not doing this sooner!
