Geometry:
The Anomaly boasts a balanced geometry that merges the efficiency of cross-country bikes with the robustness of all-mountain rigs. This design ensures riders maintain an optimal position for both climbing and descending, providing confidence across diverse terrains.
We were lucky enough to have two frames to build up and ride for about two months prior to this. We went to build these up super fast and make them into more XC bikes, going with a 110mm Rockshox Sid fork and also an Enve Rigid MTB fork. Paring this frame with a fast setup was super fun, capable and made you want to pedal all day. The geometry handled nicely with this setup, allowing us to ride big days while also opting for the single track way down. The quality of the 7005 T6 frame shined while riding it, you can really feel the benefits of this having come off a steel hardtail previously. Its snappy and stiff without being harsh. Having the benefits of being able to run a huge range of forks means you can do a lot with just one frame. In the future we would love to put on a 140mm Rockshox Pike and open up what this Anomaly is capable of!
Suspension: A 120-140mm travel fork strikes a balance between agility and control, catering to most trail conditions.
Tires: Opt for 2.4" to 2.6" wide tires to balance grip and rolling efficiency.
Drivetrain: A 1x12 setup provides a wide gear range, suitable for varied terrains.
The Banshee Anomaly emerges as a versatile and robust option for riders seeking a bike that can seamlessly transition between all-mountain and xc adventure riding. Its thoughtful design, adaptable features, and competitive pricing make it a compelling choice for those looking to explore diverse trails with confidence and style.
