The 2019 Lyrik is a badass fork, that's just facts right there. We had the pleasure of spending some time on this fork, check out what test pilot Liam thought in our RockShox Lyrik RC2 Initial Ride Review. Just want to know the good stuff?
With a ton of new features such as the Charger-2 RC2 damper with independent HSC/LSC compression adjustments, refined Debon Air system, and a new bad ass red, the 2019 Lyrik RC2 is coming out swinging for the fences. All of the new improvements Rockshox made are totally noticeable and simply put, awesome additions to an already great fork. With adjustments you can actually feel and an easy setup, the new Lyrik is going to challenge what other companies are offering in terms of extensive adjustability where they didn't contend prior. Gravity oriented, burly yet smooth, this could quite possibly be the best all-around fork that has been on my front end. I think it's safe to say it's going to be a sad day when this fork comes off my bike.
With the 2019 Lyrik, RockShox listened to the feedback or general consumers and serious racers and set out to build a fork that included independent high speed and low speed compression adjustments. There is now 5 clicks of HSC (compared to the 2 positions and lockout on the 2018 model) and 20 clicks for LSC. This allows riders to get a much more dialed feel for any trail condition they ride, while also not being overly confusing.
The damper was the biggest change for 2019, but also making the RockShox Lyrik a serious contender in the enduro category is the redesigned DebonAir spring. With this spring, RockShox engineers were able to reduce the friction in this fork while also providing 42% more negative spring volume. Sweet! So what does that mean? In simple terms, the Lyrik will be more supple over small bumps and provide more support as the fork gets deeper into the travel range which will ultimately translate into the rider being less fatigued. Win!
