Have you ever considered buying a nice set of wheels? Many of us ask questions like, "Is it worth it?", "What if I break them?" and "Is it really that much better?" Well, our buddy John took all the guesswork out of the equation for you when he got a set of Enduro 305 wheels and shared his thoughts. Check it out below!
I was a bit hesitant to spend this much on a new wheelset. After hearing how awesome these Industry Nine wheels were I decided to investigate further. I found out that these wheels are made right here in my own backyard, Asheville, NC! Made in the USA and hammer tested in Pisgah National Forest.
Right out of the box I knew these wheels were quality. Super burly and the torch hub makes “ratcheting” across streams and rocks effortless. Oh yeah, and the sound! This was my first upgrade for my Specialized Enduro. Compared to the stock wheels the performance is so much better. Stiff and wide to accommodate bigger tires. I also paired these with Maxxis Minion DHF and DHR.
I would definitely recommend these. I have ridden about 150 miles on them without any issue. In fact, I hardly ever have to put air into the tubeless setup. My old wheels seemed to leak down rather quickly. These wheels came set up for tubeless right out of the box… just add sealant. I have really enjoyed the peace of mind hammering down rocky terrain with full confidence in this wheelset.
These were a special order and the guys at Worldwide Cyclery kept me informed every step of the way. They are definitely worth the wait. I owe the guys a beer for convincing me these wheels were worthy. They also have a sweet video on these wheels that definitely helped sway my decision. Check it out here!
I have ridden these wheels on the famous Heartbreak Ridge and Weed Patch Mountain and plan on continuing to punish them. I suspect they will take the flogging better than me! Ride, beat, rinse and repeat!
